Te Amo Ana Elisa
A film by Robinson Diaz & Antonio Dorado

Ana Elisa lives in a popular neighborhood where life and death move in an intense dynamics. She feels strong because she's the owner of a healing gift and she knows the popular psychology, which gives her a privileged place within her community- because her task is to prevent people from feeling pain.

Calvo, her ex boyfriend, leader of the gang of thieves in the neighborhood, in an act of daily violence, insults Ana Elisa. She, full of courage, tired of acting always with fear and always forced to keep quiet, decides to confront him. This decision has as a consequence her grandmother Emilia and her Brother Juan Carlos's death.

Ana Elisa now has the responsibility to take care of her brother Faber (older than her, schizophrenic and vicious). Forced by Calvo's friends to leave the city, displaced from her neighborhood and from her city, Ana Elisa travels to Bogotá, looking for help from her only family: Two uncles she hasn't seen in a long time (Estela and Gilberto). She hopes they can help her in this difficult moment of her life.

In Bogotá she finds an even harder and hostile world, represented in Braulio, Estela and Gilberto. A race for survival starts for Ana; she needs to protect her brother, who, contrary to her, feels like a fish in the water in this dark world. Ana finds the solidarity and support she's looking for in a stranger, Julián, who ends up just as beaten as her because he helps her, but he stays with her until the end of that battle for the dignity of just being able to be.
